District News Update 5-8-12

April showers bring May flowers! And May brings the final month of school. What an outstanding year it has been. The support and guidance students receive from District 145 staff, parents, and community is an integral part of student success.

Congratulations (and thanks) to all of the students, staff, parents, and patrons that have been a part of another school year filled with student learning and a "Commitment to Excellence!"

All of our efforts as a school community will culminate with the Waverly High School Class of 2012 on May 20 with plenty of "Pomp and Circumstance."

Throughout this school year, Waverly High School grades (9th through 12th) participated in a healthy competition to 1) increase school spirit, involvement in school activities, and students’ grade point averages and attendance; 2) to promote community service cooperation through various projects; and 3) to foster youth leadership throughout our student population.  Through many events and projects, students improved their work ethic, positive leadership, teamwork, and organization.
