These activities are one of many opportunities that we provide students to enhance, and expand, and connect to the educational experiences that occur in the classroom.

Recently, the Waverly High School Advanced Placement Biology students visited Doane College. They had the opportunity to spend the day with Drew Case, a professor at Doane College and the Executive Director of the Southeast Nebraska Area Health Education Center. Drew talked with them about careers in the health care field, good study habits, and how to be most successful in college. He also let them explore the science department's human cadaver lab...an unforgettable, gloved-hands-on learning experience for all!

No school for students on Thursday-Friday October 16-17. On Thursday, teachers will have opportunities to collaborate and continue working together to accomplish our school improvement goals. It is hard to believe, but we have already completed one-quarter of the school year! We will examine what we have accomplished and what actions are yet to occur to help all students achieve success!

Our student enrollment continues to grow. For the first time in our district's history, our official enrollment topped 1,900 students. K-12 enrollment for 2014 is 1,926 students, an increase of 59 students from one year ago. Click here to find additional details.

On November 4, district patrons will have an opportunity to vote on a bond issue that will address safety/security, technology, and facility improvements.
