Hennessy Finishes Career Strong!

March 09, 2016

Waverly High School senior Justin Hennessy capped off a phenomenal wrestling career with a 2nd place finish in the heavyweight class at the 2016 NSAA Wrestling Tournament. This was the second consecutive year he made it to the championship match and finished runner-up.

Justin holds the record (37) for most wins as a freshman, and he also holds the record for most matches won by pin in a season at WHS. His statistics easily put him as one of the most successful wrestlers to wear the Viking uniform. Justin finished his Waverly High School career with more than 150 wins and over 100 pins. His success on the mat is fueled by his hard work and determination. This carries into the classroom where he is an honor-roll student.

Congratulations on a great year!
