Kindergarten students will arrive 8:40 on the 1st day of school and gather on the playground pavement to line up with their teacher.

Kindergarten Parents/Guardians feel free to stop through the Hamlow Gymnasium to grab a donut and some juice as part of the PTO Yahoo/Boobhoo Breakfast

School is dismissed at 3:20.

Drop off/Pick Up Flow

  • Safety is the biggest priority when considering drop off and pick up

  • Staff are positioned around the building and cross walks to ensure the safety of everyone

  • The entrance to the parking lot is located on the west side of the building off 145th ST.

  • As you enter off Castlewood please refrain from parking in the front of the building. Drive along the pick up lane and pull toward the right lane to drop off/pick up your student.

  •  To keep students safe, please have them exit vehicles on the right side (building side) only, as vehicles may be passing on the left.  If this isn't possible, it would be safest to park in a stall before having your child exit the vehicle.

  • After you have dropped off/picked up you may use the left lane to safely exit onto Castlewood.

  • To help alleviate congestion at the entrance and when using this lane, please pull up to the orange cone by the crosswalk, indicated by the green star below

  • Follow the flow of traffic illustrated on the diagram below.

Second day and Students Entering/Leaving the Building

  • Beginning on the second day of school, all students will be dropped off in the front of the building.

  • Please know that staff are located at the front entrance as well as inside the building to direct students toward their appropriate area of the building after drop off.

  • During the times of 800-825, Parents/Guardians should refrain from walking with their student into and through the building unless needing to drop forms/money off in the office.  This is for the safety of all students and staff.

  • Any student arriving after 825 is considered tardy and should be walked into the office by their Parent/Guardian to be checked in.

  • When students leave the building at any time during the day, they must be checked out of the office by a parent/guardian.

  • When students are dismissed at the end of the day for parent pickup by their teacher, all students will be located at the front of the building.

Please call or email the school if your child is absent, arriving late, or leaving early.
