It’s hard to believe, but we are already in the final 3½ weeks of the school year! This is an important time as students are finishing strong, demonstrating everything they have learned, and continuing to grow.

At Hamlow, we are focused on keeping routines consistent, reinforcing positive behaviors, and making the most of every day. Your continued support at home — encouraging good habits, positive attitudes, and strong effort — makes a huge difference.

Thank you for partnering with us. We are so proud of all the hard work our students have put in this year, and we are excited to finish the year strong together!

We are beginning our end-of-year assessments. This is a critical time, as we use this information to gauge student growth over the course of the year, reflect on our work, and understand the impact of our teaching and learning.

Below is our end-of-year testing schedule:

• CogAT – 2nd Grade Students: April 28 – May 1

• Math MAP – 2nd Grade Students: Friday, May 9 at 8:40 AM

• DIBELS – All Students: May 5 – May 9

As schedules begin to shift both at home and at school, it’s common to see an increase in behaviors at this time of year. While there are factors we can’t always control, we can guarantee that at school we will continue to provide a structured, predictable environment with high expectations and consistent responses to both positive behaviors and behaviors that need redirection.

Our focus remains on supporting students, maintaining routines, and setting them up for a strong and successful finish to the school year.

While we do not accept teacher requests, we value your insight into your child’s learning needs. If there are specific attributes or classroom environments in which your child thrives, please feel free to share that information with Mrs. Renken directly via email at sara.renken@district145.org prior to the end of the school year.
