SCC@YourService

Seniors,

If you are interested in attending Southeast Community College next year, this information is for you.

A SCC @ Your Service event will be held on Friday, December 8, 2023.   You will be sent a Google Form closer to the date of the event. You must complete the form to participate. Additional details will be sent to those who sign up.

(ANYONE CONSIDERING SCC SHOULD ATTEND, whether you have applied already or not).

During this event you can do the following:

1) Apply for the SCC scholarships available (this is the first time you can apply and you are likely to be offered something if you do).

2) Complete the Accuplacer exam (for free).  This exam is used to help you gain entrance to certain programs through Southeast Community College.  There are three possible sections to the exam:  Reading, Writing, and Math.

**NOTE: You will be informed ahead of time if your ACT score means that you DO NOT need to take this exam.  If you are not sure, you should sign up.  You will also be told if you only need to do one section, all sections, etc. of the exam based on your program of interest.

Here is information about the Accuplacer: https://accuplacer.collegeboard.org/students

3) Complete the Application to SCC (if you haven't already).  Completing the application does not mean that you have to attend SCC.  It is a very good idea to apply, even if you are not planning to go there, just in case your plans change.  It is a good Plan B, if it is not already Plan A.  If it is plan A, you need to apply this day if you have not already done so.
