Food Service Policy  #3120
Please review Board Policy #3120 as it will impact students with a negative lunch account.

Elementary Student Handbook
The 2023-2024 Elementary Student Handbook will be posted on our website prior to school starting. Paper copies of the handbook will not be distributed, but are available in the office upon request. It is important for all parents and students to review the handbook together.

Communication
Communication has always been a priority for our school.  We post information on the district website http://www.district145.org/ and the Eagle Elementary Facebook Page https://www.facebook.com/EagleVikings.  Teachers also have classroom websites, Facebook pages, and send regular emails to parents.

District 145 Snack/Treat List
To help ensure the safety of our students, we will post a list of specific snacks/treats that will address any food allergies. These will be the only food items allowed to be shared in the classroom. Any snacks/treats that are brought to school and are not on the approval list will not be distributed and will be sent home.

Parking Lot Expectations
Safety is our top priority at Eagle Elementary. Here are a few reminders as we begin a new school year.

A few reminders:

  1. Parents must stay in vehicles when dropping off or picking up.

  2. When exiting the parking lot, please get in the habit of turning to the right onto first street in the morning to avoid additional congestion with our traffic flow.

  3. The back parking lots (on the north and east sides of the building) are for our buses and staff only. Please do not park in those lots to drop off or pick up your students. This is a safety hazard as buses pull around and staff members arrive and leave for the day.

  4. All students crossing the street are required to use the crosswalk.  Staff members are placed strategically to assist with this process.

  5. We will no longer be allowing students to be picked up on the west side of first street (cars facing south).  You must pull around the horseshoe and turn right onto first street (cars facing north) to pick up your child.

  6. Students may not be at school until 7:50 am at the earliest. Supervision for students begins at 7:50 am. If your child needs to be dropped off prior to 7:50 am, please contact our Viking Discovery Program to make arrangements as we cannot have students on school grounds without supervision.
