Waverly Vike Hoops Basketball Registration is open for the 2023 / 2024 Basketball Season. Only Boys in 3rd-6th Grade and Girls in 3rd - 8th grade will need to register. Please Register on Team Snap on the link below. https://go.teamsnap.com/forms/389136 Placements will be Saturday September, 16th in the Waverly High School Gyms. Boys & Girls 3rd Grade at 8:00 am Boys Grades 4th - 6th will be at 8:30 am Girls Grades 4th - 8th will be at 9:45 am Please arrive 15 Minutes prior to placements to check in. We can't wait to see our Eagle Vikings on Wednesday morning beginning at 7:50 am in the school gym! Please use the gym doors to enter. First bell rings at 8:05 am and the Tardy bell rings at 8:10 am. June Library & Art Time! June 6th & June 20th from 10am-11am! Free to attend and PreK-5th Grades welcome! Enjoy Story Time and a coordinating Art Activity in the Eagle Elementary Library. Please email cassidy.bohac@district145.org if your student(s) plan on attending. Thank you PTE for sponsoring this event! **Kids 8 and older can be dropped off but need to be picked up by 11am. Children under 8 need to have a parent/guardian present during the hour with them. We are working out all the details yet since this is our first Summer Library/Art event. Thank you. 😊

District 145 is hosting a Surplus Sale on Saturday, June 3rd, 9am-2 pm. The sale address is: 14511 Heywood ST, Waverly, NE, located between the Waverly Intermediate School and Central Office Parking lots. All sorts of items will be for sale including: tables, chairs, books, furniture, curriculum, older lawn equipment and more! No pre-sales. Come and shop for treasures!

The school office is open during the month of June, however hours may be limited. The office will be closed in July. Today (and this week) we are celebrating our Registered Nurse, April Michael! We are so thankful for her and all of the love and compassion she shows staff and students alike! Celebrating you, Nurse April!

The Mini Talent Show is Wednesday, May 10th at 2:00 pm and the All School Talent Show is on Friday, May 12th at 1:30 pm. Families are invited to attend. If your child is participating, an email was sent to you with specific show time information. Gym Doors will open 15 minutes prior to the event. We are proud of our Eagle Elementary Viking Talent!

We need Volunteers! 3rd-5th Graders will take part in Field Day on Monday, May 8th. Field Day is an all-day event for 3rd, 4th, and 5th-grade students. The morning consists of track & field events, which include running races and field events. The afternoon consists of class vs. class games. Please ensure your student is dressed appropriately and wearing tennis shoes. They will need to bring a sack. They will also need a water bottle and I recommend they wear sunscreen. Parents are welcome to watch. Unfortunately, we will not be able to have students from the high school volunteer to help run field day this year. WE NEED PARENT VOLUNTEERS. Vikings Inclusion Week! April 24th-28th encourage your student to to celebrate with us by wearing the following: Monday, April 24th: Celebrate being Uniquely YOU! Wear mismatching clothes/crazy socks Tuesday, April 25th: Be A Hero for Inclusion! Dress as a Superhero or someone you look up to (no masks please) Wednesday, April 26th: Celebrate our Differences! Tie-Dye; wear all of the colors or your favorite color! Thursday, April 27th: Come as you are! Wear pajamas or sweats Friday, April 28th: Vikings are Inclusive & work together! Wear Viking gear or maroon & black. The purpose of this week is to celebrate all students and unique needs and disabilities!

The PTE Annual Plant sale is Saturday, April 22nd in the Eagle Elementary Gym from 9am-4pm. Please park on the east side of the building. This is open to the public! Thank you for supporting Eagle PTE!
