Shop the Book Fair! Students are able to shop before school starting at 7:50 am, during their library time and with teacher permission. Community Closet Forms are due today! Families at all 5 School District 145 buildings can receive Fall/Winter clothing and winter coats through our local Community Closet. The Community Closet is an organization that provides new and gently used clothing for free to families residing in our school district.
Families will now have the option, by appointment only to pick out their own clothing at the Community Closet building on the Waverly Intermediate School campus. If transportation is an issue or you would rather have the clothing delivered to your child’s school that option is still available, which will be explained to you when the Community Closet organizer calls to set up your appointment. Appointments will start in mid/late October 2023. See "News" below for the link to the form. Call the school office with any questions 402-781-2210. All requests are confidential.

This movie, Hocus Pocus, will take place on Sunday, October 1st, at 7:00 p.m. on the new scoreboard at Viking Stadium!
We have some requests to make this event something we can continue to offer to our community:
-Children 5th grade and below are to be accompanied by an adult
-No outside food or drinks (Concessions will be available)
-No chairs are to be brought on the turf
Information about the event:
-Gates will open at 6:00 p.m.
-It will be $5 to enter (Free popcorn coupon included)
-Children under 3 and under are free of charge
-The concessions will also be open, selling additional popcorn, drinks, and candy only

Friday, September 29th is the final deadline for:
-Coin donation for Beef It Up Week School Competition! Students may donate any spare change by Friday and the school with the most coins will have their Principal eat Cow Tongue! All proceeds go to NE Beef in Schools which includes meat processing fees

Beef it up day is tomorrow at Eagle Elementary! Students can enjoy Nebraska beef nachos at lunch on Tuesday, September 26th. School lunch is $3.09.
In conjunction with our first Beef-It-Up day this week we are running a district wide contest. Who wants to see Mrs. Flohr eat cow tongue?! This week, September 25-29 we will are running a fundraiser for District 145 Beef in Schools. Students are asked to bring in spare change to their class collection boxes. The winning class earns a treat and the winning school gets to watch their principal eat cow tongue. The money collected will help with processing fees of Nebraska Beef in District 145.

District 145 is hosting a Surplus Sale on Saturday, June 3rd, 9am-2 pm. The sale address is: 14511 Heywood ST, Waverly, NE, located between the Waverly Intermediate School and Central Office Parking lots. All sorts of items will be for sale including: tables, chairs, books, furniture, curriculum, older lawn equipment and more! No pre-sales. Come and shop for treasures!
