In conjunction with our first Beef-It-Up day this week we are running a district wide contest. Who wants to see Mrs. Flohr eat cow tongue?! This week, September 25-29 we will are running a fundraiser for District 145 Beef in Schools. Students are asked to bring in spare change to their class collection boxes. The winning class earns a treat and the winning school gets to watch their principal eat cow tongue. The money collected will help with processing fees of Nebraska Beef in District 145.

District 145 is hosting a Surplus Sale on Saturday, June 3rd, 9am-2 pm. The sale address is: 14511 Heywood ST, Waverly, NE, located between the Waverly Intermediate School and Central Office Parking lots. All sorts of items will be for sale including: tables, chairs, books, furniture, curriculum, older lawn equipment and more! No pre-sales. Come and shop for treasures!

The school office is open during the month of June, however hours may be limited. The office will be closed in July. Today (and this week) we are celebrating our Registered Nurse, April Michael! We are so thankful for her and all of the love and compassion she shows staff and students alike! Celebrating you, Nurse April!

The Mini Talent Show is Wednesday, May 10th at 2:00 pm and the All School Talent Show is on Friday, May 12th at 1:30 pm. Families are invited to attend. If your child is participating, an email was sent to you with specific show time information. Gym Doors will open 15 minutes prior to the event. We are proud of our Eagle Elementary Viking Talent!

We need Volunteers! 3rd-5th Graders will take part in Field Day on Monday, May 8th. Field Day is an all-day event for 3rd, 4th, and 5th-grade students. The morning consists of track & field events, which include running races and field events. The afternoon consists of class vs. class games.
Please ensure your student is dressed appropriately and wearing tennis shoes. They will need to bring a sack. They will also need a water bottle and I recommend they wear sunscreen.
Parents are welcome to watch. Unfortunately, we will not be able to have students from the high school volunteer to help run field day this year. WE NEED PARENT VOLUNTEERS. Attached is a sign-up genius link.
