It is official, your Waverly girls basketball team will play at 3:15 PM next Thursday at pinnacle Bank Arena against Gretna East in the first round of the first round of the class B girls state basketball tournament.
Monday at Bennington, the first 100 students will be admitted free of charge thanks to an anonymous donation. The boys game will start at 6:00pm. Let's get there and be LOUD!!!
More Band Results from last week: Attending Wesleyan Honors Festival last weekend and participating in the Wind Ensemble were Senior Katereina Shaw and Junior Alyssa Rine - sounded great!
UNO Jazz Band Results: The Viking Varsity Jazz Band received straight top ratings from all judges at the UNO jazz competition today. Also five outstanding soloist awards. CONGRATS to ALL. ATTA WAY!!!

Waverly High School was selected to host 2 Spring NSAA District Championships. We will host the B-1 Boys Golf District @ Woodland Hills on May13th. May 7th we will again host the B-1 District Track Meet.
Boys Basketball will take on Bennington Monday evening, February 26th at 6:00pm @ Bennington High School. This is a NSAA district final with a chance to punch their ticket to state. Admission is $6 for adults and $5 for students.
Official matchups are set, Waverly Boys earn the 10 seed and will travel to Bennington. Date and time are TBD.
Waverly Girls will host the Bennington Badgers with a ticket to the State Tournament on the line. The game will be at 1:00pm Saturday here at WHS. Reminder, NSAA event, no passes accepted. $6 for adults and $5 for students.
