For the first time in school history, your boys, Waverly wrestling team are the EMC conference dual team champions. Congratulations. Congratulations wrestlers and coaches!!!


Waverly boys defeat Papio South in the final dual of the day 61-12. The boys will be back in action on Friday as Waverly hosts the EMC Conference Dual Championships.

Waverly boys defeat Bellevue West in the first dual 64-12. Girls wrestled hard but to many open weights. Mac Olson with a big pin. Papio South up next.

Waverly boys defeat Blair 52-48 and finish 5th in the EMC Tournament. Back-to-Back wins for the boys. Nice work fellas!!!

Waverly boys lead Blair at halftime 26-23 in the 5th Place EMC Conference Basketball Tournament game.

Waverly Girls defeat Bennington 65-47 to take 3rd in the EMC Conference Tournament. Way to bounce back ladies!!!

At the half way point, Waverly girls lead Bennington 34-24 in the EMC Conference Tournament 3rd Place game.

Waverly Boys defeat Hastings 58-52. They will play tomorrow at standing Bear High School at 2:00pm. They will play the Blair Bears.

At the half, Waverly boys lead Hastings 25-22.

Waverly girls defeat Hastings 62-24. They will play in the semifinals at Lincoln Northwest High School Friday, December 29th at 4:00pm.

248 teams competed in the Personal Finance Challenge from all over the state of NE to test their knowledge in financial literacy. Waverly had 3 teams in the top 10, one of which qualified to participate in the State Finals in April.
2nd Place in Lincoln Region and 3rd Place overall: Jayden Truong, Jadyn Converse, Linsey Larson, Jordan Hedrick (these students qualified to compete at the State Finals in April)
4th Place in Lincoln Region and 5th Place overall: Katereina Shaw, Garret Hartweg, Marlee Persinger, Skylar Johnson
5th Place in Lincoln Region and 7th Place overall: Adeline Owsley, Ella Lange, Isabel Cardenas, Olivia Tucker

Boys wrestling defeats Columbus 41-22. They finished 3rd overall at the Flatwater Fracus. Waverly finishes 6-2 on the weekend. Nice job fellas!!!

It came down to the wire but Kearney was able to hold on and defeat Waverly 37-29. Waverly will dual Columbus next for 3rd.

Boys wrestling defeats Garden City, Kansas 49-26. They will await the winner of Kearney and Lincoln East in the semifinals.

Boys wrestling earns a bye in the first round of the Gold bracket. They will await either Cheyenne East out of Wyoming or Garden City out of Kansas.

The Waverly boys wrestling team dropped a close dual this morning against Manhattan, Kansas. They bounced back to win duals over Gretna East, Hastings, Lincoln East, and Papillon La-Vista South. A special ATTA BOY to Brayden CANOYER for earning his 100th win today!!!
