Congrats to the Waverly High School Yearbook staff for earning 2nd place in overall theme development in the State Journalism contest, lead by Jadyn Converse, Eden Moore, Carleigh Bodfield, Olivia Panipinto, Keegan Benson and Allison Pulford.
The boys fall to Norris in the Spartan Tournament Championship 8-2, but what a weekend on the diamond finishing runner-up. Congrats fellas, onto the next one!

Baseball loses a close game with Lincoln Southwest 3-2 this morning but did enough on Day 1 to earn their way to the Championship Game of the Lincoln East Tournament. They will play Norris at 3:00pm over at Den Hartdog.

26 Waverly Business Students traveled to Pinnacle Arena today for the Nebraska 2023 Junior Achievement Stock Market Challenge. In teams of 3-5, students had sixty "sixty second days" to buy and sell stocks based on economic conditions, headlines, world events, and so forth! There were over 170 teams from across the state. WHS had two teams finish in the top 20- 5th and 15th. Way to represent! Also, a BIG shout out to the District 145 Foundation for sponsoring us!!

Baseball Update: We were able to secure umpires for a DH tomorrow out at Lawson Park Field #1. The JV and Reserve teams will play Elkhorn North. Both games will be 90 minutes or 5 innings. JV @ 4:30, Reserve @ 6:30.
