Softball Fans, the Cougar classic is postponed for this evening. The Vikings will now play Saturday morning at 8:30am and 10:15am. Cross Pool games will be either at 1:45, 3:30, or 5:15pm pending results of the morning games.

Waverly Community,  With a good chance of threatening storms later this afternoon, the annual High School Booster Bash has been postponed to Saturday, August 21st. Apparel sales will start at 9:30am. The freshmen football team will scrimmage starting at 10:00am with the JV/V to follow out at the stadium. Yearbook sales and distribution will also be available.  A reminder to please bring your Vintage Viking Apparel & Hygiene items for the District 145 Foundation for Education Community Closet.  The Volleyball scrimmage is moved to Monday, August 23rd starting at 5:00pm.  The Baconazing and Sweet Baby J's Tropical Sno Food Trucks will be available tomorrow. We will also plan to sell canned pop, water, and candy items from the concessions stand.  Apparel and Food Trucks will begin shutting down at 12:30pm.  Finally, the southeast parking lot WILL be open and available for parking tomorrow morning!!

Seward plates 2 runs to defeat the lady Vikes 12-11 in the bottom of the 7th. Great game by both teams!

BOOM… Vikes plate 6 runs in the top of the 7th led by a 3 run dinger from McCall. Waverly now leads 11-10 going to the bottom of 7.

Blue jays have the lead 10-5. Going to top of the 7th.

Seward plates 1. Big Time pitching by Denison to get outta the inning. Going to 6, score is knotted at 5.

Lady Vikes plate 5 in the top of the 4th. Going to the bottom half of the inning Waverly leads Seward 5-4.

Attending the Softball Jamboree this evening? A reminder this event is put on in support of the Nebraska High School Sports Hall of Fame. NO PASSES will be accepted this evening. $6 Adults, $5 Students, all proceeds go to NHSSHF. @wavhighsoftball vs. @MalcolmClippers 5:00pm.

WHS Orientation Night for 9th graders and new students will be held on 8/9 from 6-8. Informational sessions in the library at 6:30 and 7:00. First day of school for 9th graders will be on 8/12 from 8:40-1:30. First day for all students will be on 8/13 from 8:40-3:40. Go Vikings!

School District 145 offices will be closed August 9th from 7:45am to 9:15am and again 11:45am to 2:45pm for professional development.

Concussion ImPACT testing has been scheduled for the high school . This is for incoming freshmen, Juniors, and anyone that sustained a concussion during the 20-21' school year. Middle school testing information will be shared at a later date. July 26th 7 & 8 am July 27th 7, 8 am, & 12 pm July 29th 7 & 8 am
