A VERY Special CONGRATULATIONS goes out to our very own Coach Huenink and Coach Cobelens as they are the recipients of the 2023-2024 NSAA Champions for Coaches Award. Coach Huenink began our unified track program and Coach Cobelens has been our long time Boys golf coach!

Please help me CONGRATULATE our very own Marisa Gross as she was chosen to sing the National Anthem this morning prior to the Class B Boys Team Bowling Championships at Sun Valley Lanes. Marisa sounded phenomenal. She will sing again this afternoon prior the Class B Girls Finals.
The JV game scheduled for this evening will likely have a delayed start as Omaha Gross's bus was late showing up.
A very special s/o to Ellie and Ve'Anna as they battled today. We had a lot of fun watching you over the years. Ve'Anna, we are excited to see what you do the next couple of years!!

Representing WHS at the UNL Glenn Korff School of Music 2024 Winter Festival Honor Band were six Viking Band members: Olivia Cupp-Whiteman, Alyssa Rine, Sehren Carlson, Johah Muench, Myles Van Cleave and Emilie White. They gave an outstanding performance today and all weekend!

Poppy placed top Novice and 6th place overall in DI. Madison placed 6th place in poetry. It was a fun solid day at the Schuyler Central speech meet.
Mac takes care of business and will wrestle for 3/4. Mac, Jaz, and Grace will all move into next Fridays District Championships in Aurora.
The boys take care of business blanking Gering 63-0 in the semifinal round. They will move to the State Title match vs. Omaha Skutt at 6:30.
Girls Wrestling Update: Jaz and Grace are in the finals. Mac in cons semifinal. Ambree had a terrific season but falls short.
Girls update: Mac, Jaz, Grace all in the semis. Ambree still alive in the cons.
Waverly boys get the job done and defeat York 48-15. They will move to the semifinal round at 2:00 and take on Gering.
