Help me congratulate the following Personal Finance Challenge winners! 248 teams competed in the Personal Finance Challenge from all over the state of NE to test their knowledge in financial literacy. Waverly had 3 teams in the top 10, one of which qualified to participate in the State Finals in April. 2nd Place in Lincoln Region and 3rd Place overall: Jayden Truong, Jadyn Converse, Linsey Larson, Jordan Hedrick (these students qualified to compete at the State Finals in April) 4th Place in Lincoln Region and 5th Place overall: Katereina Shaw, Garret Hartweg, Marlee Persinger, Skylar Johnson 5th Place in Lincoln Region and 7th Place overall: Adeline Owsley, Ella Lange, Isabel Cardenas, Olivia Tucker

Boys wrestling defeats Columbus 41-22. They finished 3rd overall at the Flatwater Fracus. Waverly finishes 6-2 on the weekend. Nice job fellas!!!

The Waverly boys wrestling team dropped a close dual this morning against Manhattan, Kansas. They bounced back to win duals over Gretna East, Hastings, Lincoln East, and Papillon La-Vista South. A special ATTA BOY to Brayden CANOYER for earning his 100th win today!!!

Congratulations to the WHS Microeconomics students for an outstanding performance in the 2023 Fall EconChallenge hosted by the University of Nebraska Council for Economic Education. 180 teams from around the state- comprised of over 650 students- competed this fall. Out of those 180 teams, Waverly microeconomics students placed 2nd, 3rd, 6th, and 7th. 9 of the top 20 teams were from WHS. All 20 WHS teams finished in the top half of the state. Two teams qualified for state in the Spring. Well done!!
