History made for Waverly Girls wrestling as we have our first ever medalist in program history. Mac finishes 6th and Jasmia finishes a thriller 13-12 match to take 5th. Congratulations ladies!!!!!

Mac & Jas will both be wrestling for 5/6th place.

Jasmia pins Gering in the heartbreak round and will wrestle Nebraska City next.

Olson comes up short against Kearney in the semis. She will wrestle Blair next.

Jasmia pins Crete and moves into the heartbreak round this afternoon to take on Gering.

Olson with a first period pin and she is in the semifinals!!!! Jasmia couldn't shake Beatrice and she will begin her quest on wrestle backs tomorrow morning.

Jasmia with a 19-15 win over York. She moves into the quarterfinals and will face #1 overall seeded Beatrice later this evening. What a gritty win by Mia.

Olson with the 2nd period pin, she moves on to the quarterfinals against South Sioux City later this evening!!!

Due to the weather and school cancellation, the Lincoln Northwest BBALL games for tomorrow have changed. The boys will play on Sat., Feb. 22nd with JV @ 1:00 and V to follow. Due to sub-districts for both girls teams starting on Monday, we will be cancelling the girls contest.

The Waverly Dance Team will be hosting a Tryout Meeting on February 24th 6:00pm @ WIS. Any interested 9-12 members and parents! See flyer for more information.


Waverly High School had several members of our Band performing at the Wesleyan Honors Festival over the weekend. Congratulations on being selected and representing Waverly!!!


Due to the weather conditions, Waverly will be cancelling afternoon practices for today Monday, February 17th. This will include any youth practices for this evening.

More results from Friday's Speech competition at Bellevue West. Avery Behrend also made finals and finished in the top twelve for Program of Oral Interpretation (POI). Congratulations Avery!!!


Last Friday Poppy Doele qualified for finals in the Bellevue West Speech tournament Friday evening for Dramatic Interpretation out of 73 competing. Her finish has officially qualified Poppy for Nationals and she will represent Waverly HS in Kansas City in May. CONGRATS POPPY!!!!



Lexington defeats Waverly 3-1. Awesome season ladies!!!!

Waverly girls defeat Pius X 3-1 and will move on the play Lexington in another elimination matchup.

Girls come up short against Elkhorn this morning 3-2. They take on Pius X in an elimination game next.

Today 15 Waverly macroeconomics Students, along with 12 other schools from the area, were part of UNL EconDay at Hawks Hall on the UNL campus. Students were able to experience such diverse topics as "Economics and Inflation", "AI and Economics", "the Impact of Climate Change on the Economy", and "The Labor Market." Along with this, the students were given a tour of the state-of-the art Business College. A wonderful experience!
