Frequently Asked Questions

What items do I need to submit to be considered for a teaching position?
Complete the online application and complete the Gallup Teacher Insight online interview, which is embedded in the online application process.

How do I complete the InSight Interview?
All applicants must complete the InSight on-line computer interview.  It is part of the on-line application process for teaching positions. If you do not have access to a computer with access to the Internet, you may make arrangements to take the survey at the school by calling (402) 786-2321.

I sent a letter of application in previously, do I need to reapply?

You need to submit your application using the online process. If no positions are currently available, you may still fill out the online application.  This will be held in the system as a pre-employment file.  Then, if a position you wish to apply for becomes open and you have selected to be notified from the application system, you will be notified and able to activate and apply your online file for that position by accessing your account with your username and password.

How will I know that you have received all my application materials?

All application materials will be submitted electronically. If you have completed the application process, your file will be active. If there is an error in your application, the Applitrack system will alert you.

I am interested in coaching or extra-curricular sponsorships.  Do you have any available?

Yes. There are opportunities available. These are dependent on the skills and talents of the applicants. Please specify what coaching or organizational sponsorships you feel qualified to lead on the application form. You may include additional information on your coaching or sponsorship talents in the Other Information portion of the on-line application or on your resume.

What is the deadline for submission of materials?
The district does not have a deadline for the submission of application materials unless specified for that position.  All positions remain open until the Board of Education takes action to approve the hiring of a candidate. Applicants are encouraged to complete the online application process as soon as possible.

You do not specify an opening in my teaching area- Can I still apply?
Yes.  The online application allows you to submit your information as a "pre-employment file" even if a position is not currently available. If a position you wish to apply for becomes open, you will be able to activate your pre-employment file for that position by accessing your account with your username and password. Check our website for listings of new openings.

How can I set up a personal interview?
The district will personally interview a relatively small number of applicants. The interview team selects applicants to interview from the pool of applicants based on the submitted application materials. If you are selected, you will be contacted by the team leader conducting the interview to establish a time and location for the interview.

What can I expect from a teaching interview?
You will be interviewed by a team of administrator(s) and teachers.  The interview consists of a building tour and formal interview.  The teaching of a short classroom lesson may be part of the selection process.  The team leader will call you to establish an interview time and location and will give you details on how to prepare for the interview.
