School District 145 has a long history and tradition serving our communities. The following is an outline of the history of facility projects in our school district:

1918    Eagle-Union School District building erected

1921    Original three story building erected in Waverly

1958    Gymnasium, welding shop, library, 2 classrooms in Waverly

1963    Cafeteria, office, girl’s locker room, 9 classrooms in Waverly

1967    Shop annex, 4 classrooms (metal building) in Waverly

1968    6 classrooms and 3 offices added to Junior – Senior High

1969    Music area, wood shop, 2 classroom trailer added to Junior – Senior High

1970    Shop annex, 4 classrooms (metal building)

1971    Enclosed the high school courtyard, 2 classrooms, kindergarten annex

1974    Hamlow Elementary was constructed, 65,000 square feet; addition to Eagle Elementary, 26,200 square feet.

1975    Vocational Agriculture and Woods Annex (metal building)

1982    Bus Barn Facility and lot, Cost of $168,000

1983    10 classrooms, library, commons, reburbished the Junior High, added drama annex behind Junior High Auditorium, Total Cost of $994,125 (original bond was $1,300,000)

1992    District 145 Central Office was constructed

1996    Waverly High School, 126,000 square feet, Cost of $11,990,000

2000    Eagle Elementary classroom and gym addition and Hamlow Elementary kindergarten addition, cost of $5,285,000

2001    Original 1921 three story building demolished and 1 classroom added to Waverly Middle School, Cost of $449,000

2002    Waverly High School Irrigation well installation and tie in to under ground sprinkler system, Cost of $37,000

2003    Hamlow Elementary Classroom walls and doors added; fire sprinkler system added; Waverly Middle School roof replacement; window replacement; mapes panels under windows replaced; floor tile replaced, Total Cost of $2,030,000

2005  Waverly High School 28,000 square foot addition, full size double court additional gymnasium, 2 classrooms, 1 health / training classroom, restrooms, Cost of $3,300,000

2006   Waverly Middle School, 108,000 square feet, Cost of $13,480,000

2007   Waverly Intermediate School classroom renovations, office renovations, commons area renovation, carpet and cabinetry, Cost of $590,000

2010  Waverly High School install drain tile system around exterior of building and under gym floor; Eagle Elementary and Waverly Intermediate School interior fire doors and exterior entry doors, Hamlow Elementary School interior fire doors, Cost of $500,000

2012  Eagle Elementary School and Waverly Intermediate School HVAC improvements; Waverly High School, remediation of air quality issues and window replacement at Waverly High School, Cost of $1,500,000

2013  Hamlow Elementary School, installation of geothermal heating and cooling system, Cost of $3,342,000

2014  Waverly High School, removal of commons area skylight and replacement with rubber membrane roof

2014  Hamlow Elementary School, replacement of the Kal-Wall Panel skylight in the media center. Cost $184,400 (includes WHS skylight project).
